Flexible Foam

Graphite Foam

Graphite foam is an incredibly versatile material, ideal for any application requiring flexible foam. When compared to melamine foam, graphite foam stands out for its higher density and superior fire-retardant properties, making it an excellent choice for industries with strict safety regulations. While it is more expensive than melamine foam, its enhanced fire-resistant qualities have contributed to its growing popularity, particularly in the Rail and Aviation sectors. However, it is less commonly used in the automotive industry, where more cost-effective and lightweight foams tend to be preferred.

Additionally, this foam can be customised and moulded to suit a wide range of needs, including the integration of Velcro, clips, wooden boards, or wireframes, making it highly adaptable for different applications. Its outstanding fire resistance and durability further solidify it as the go-to solution for specialised environments that demand a balance of flexibility and safety.

Common Sectors

Melamine Foam

This foam serves as a lightweight and cost-effective alternative to graphite foam, making it ideal for a variety of flexible foam applications. Widely used in mass transit sectors such as buses and coaches, it also finds applications in specialised automotive designs and furniture manufacturing.

The foam’s ability to be moulded into various configurations allows for the seamless integration of Velcro, clips, wooden boards, and wireframes, enhancing its versatility across different uses. Moreover, it meets fire safety standards, achieving flammability certification up to Crib 5, further solidifying its reliability in safety-conscious environments.
